Riding in Staggered Formation

When we ride as a group, safety comes first.
That’s why on wide roads, we ride staggered formation when we can — it keeps us visible, spaced out, and ready for anything.

Lead rider sits front‑right so the RC has a clear view to overtake cars etc if needed.

Each rider sits offset from the one ahead — a clean zig‑zag, not a straight line or side by side

Safe distance always — enough room to react, brake, or move if needed.

Need to leave formation? No worries. Use the road safely, then slot back in when it’s safe - the rider behind should give you enough room to do this.
Never undertake and only overtake the rider in front when necessary.

Narrow & more twisty roads = single file — we adapt to the conditions.

Newer riders sit toward the back — less pressure, more support. New to group riding? We’re here to help, and the Tail‑End Charlie will always have your back.

When the lead rider overtakes, we overtake in formation — the rider at the front of each pair goes first, keeping the flow smooth and predictable.

Prefer to ride at your own pace & slower than the group? All good. We’ll never push you beyond your limits. Before the ride or at a stop inform the Tail-End Charlie, wait until the group leaves & then Ride behind the TEC if you need to — just know the route and we’ll meet you at the next stop.

It’s not just about looking sharp — it’s about riding smart & staying safe on the road while riding in a group

See you on the road, legends.
